Fast track tonnage certification is a new service the IIMS are offering to approved tonnage surveyors. This involves paying a surcharge to receive your approved tonnage certificate back within 24 hours, guaranteed.

PLEASE NOTE: this service is for your tonnage certificate only. We do not conduct vessel registration and cannot expedite this process. The registry must be contacted directly regarding registration.

The fee will be double the standard tonnage fee charged, as indicated on our CA website.

• Fast track submissions will be responded to with confirmation of acceptance by the IIMS CA as soon as picked up by tonnage admin, with the timeframe for completion clarified.
• This service is only available on request, and we reserve the right to refuse this when necessary.
• A surcharge is applicable of double the standard tonnage fee; this is only payable by the surveyor directly.
• Required documentation (as seen on the submission checklist) must be submitted with the initial email submission. A Word copy of the COT is preferred in this case, as simple admin errors can then be fixed if required by the administration.
• If this is not completed due to a fault of ours within the 24-hour timeframe, this surcharge is refundable.
• This fee cannot be refunded if the delay is caused by external fault, i.e., the scrutineer not being provided with the required supporting documentation.
• Please consider that we adhere to UK office hours and will not be available outside of 9am-5pm GMT, Monday – Friday and UK bank holidays.

T&Cs

• The surveyor must pay the invoice.
• The fee cannot be refunded if goes over the time, due to surveyor mistakes.
• All documentation to be submitted together, based on the tonnage checklist (Word COT preferable, as admin staff will correct spelling errors, etc.)
• Please be considerate of UK office hours (if submitted 5pm Friday, this will not be done within 24 hours.)
• Only upon request – refusal possible.
• Surcharge applicable – double the standard fee listed on the IIMS CA website fees page.
